Here, in fact, they are still very much alive and present in museums, in archaeological areas, in monuments, in historical centers and in the landscape,
the evidence of an uninterrupted succession of cultures (Paleolithic, Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance).
All this is accompanied by the traditional hospitality of the population that has been able to create welcoming facilities scattered in the green of the most beautiful and experienced Tuscan countryside.
Its territory is currently divided into 20 municipalities, of which 8 in the province of Siena (Cetona, Chianciano Terme, Chiusi, Montepulciano, San Casciano dei Bagni, Sarteano, Sinalunga, Torrita di Siena) and 8 in that of Arezzo (Cortona, Castiglion Fiorentino, Civitella in Valdichiana, Foiano Della Chiana, Lucignano, Marciano della Chiana, Monte San Savino and Arezzo).
To these must be added strips of Umbrian territory belonging to the municipalities of Castiglione del Lago and Città della Pieve in the province of Perugia and Monteleone d’Orvieto and Fabro in the province of Terni.
